An unusual paraffin microscope lamp with tin case..  The post is 9 " tall. The height of the lamp is adjustable by sliding it up the post. The lamp is in working order, and provides substantial illumination comparable to -- and even exceeding – the light from modern electric bulb. The lamp is finished in lacquered brass with a painted gold base. It has a ceramic shade with a tiny chip on the top rim. This lamp is functional, and ready to provide vintage style illumination for an antique microscope.
