Classic Reichert microscope

A fine deco style microscope signed on the tube, "Reichert, Wein, Nr. 231790, made in Austria". The serial number dates it to circa 1952.  It stands 12" tall in closed position. Coarse focus is rack and pinion, with fine focus via dual micrometer knobs. All are working perfectly. It comes with an original mechanical stage, and abbe substage condenser with variable iris diaphragm and swing out filter holder. The plano-concave mirror is in excellent condition on both sides. Four original Reichert lenses fit the nosepiece. Four parfocal objectives include a 4.4x, a 10x, a 45x, and a 100x oil immersion. Two Reichert eyepieces, a 5x, and 10x complete the optical system, which is of excellent quality, producing sharp images of good contrast. The microscope is finished in black and silver. The coverage is complete with some repaired wear on the limb, stand, and stage. The microscope comes with its original wooden case, marked, "Reichert, Wein" on the door. Inside are racks to hold the four plastic lens canisters, extra eyepiece, and original stage clips. The case is in excellent condition with lock but no key. This is a handsome microscope of distinguished design with a very fine optical system.
