6" Hammonds Terrestrial Globe

A delicate little 6" terrestrial globe with a green art deco base.  The cartouche reads, "Hammond's 6 inch Terrestrial Globe, C. S. Hammond & Co., New York, Brooklyn, and Boston."  The globe is 10" tall.  Peiping and Oslo are mentioned, dating the globe to circa 1924-28.  The globe is in fine condition with good color and contrast.  There is a stain south of the U.S. (see photo) and a couple of dents and dings.   The stand is an art deco style cast metal with a green color meant to appear like weathered copper or bronze.  In sum, this is a distinctively styled globe in a smaller size, and in  good condition for its age.
